Adding Test Labs

1. Confirm or create the testing laboratory is listed in the system. (Manage in Labs)

Adding Factories

2. Confirm or create the factory is listed in the system. (Manage in Factories)

3. Create and save the Test Report. (Manage in Test Reports)

• Frameworks* should be set to CPSC Consumer Product Safety
• Test Date:  Date listed on the report when they received or started testing
• Received Date:  Date final report is issued
• Scope: Leave blank
• Citations Covered:  Check as needed
• Products Covered:  Enter each part number as needed
• Notes: Add product description.  Example (Bike Boardwalk 20)

4. Create and save the Certificate.

• Enter item part number:  You can only enter one p/n per certificate
• Parties
  • Select the Factory from the dropdown
  • Select the Certifier from the dropdown.  Always choose J&B
  • Select the Records Contact. Always choose Records Admin
• Test Reports: Make sue the applicable test report is listed and checked
• Citations:  Check applicable Citations
  • Must match the Test Report Citations
• Coverage period:  The From* and To* date should be the production date, but if serial number a production date don’t match, default to the month and year from the serial number.
• Notes:  As needed

5. Clone the Certificate for any additional part numbers, as needed.

6. Attest to and submit the Certificate to the CPSC.

7. In the OPS Section, update the Purchase Order by entering the production date.

8. In the OPS Section, review the Shipments section to determine whether any related shipments are currently in transit.
